Closer&Closer is like one big, happy family of illustrators. And what is it that family members do best? Steal stuff from each other. But instead of tattling to Mom and Dad, we encourage it. Copy&Cats is a challenge to take (with care and respect … like, ask first) a fellow illustrator’s work and create it in your style. It not only fosters collaboration, but provides unexpected inspiration and growth. There’s really no better way to get to know your illustrator buddies than by jumping inside their art brain. And besides, we all find influence through other artists. Copy&Cats embraces that while pushing you beyond what is creatively habitual. Sharing really is caring. Just stay out of my closet.
